Introduction AES is involved in the Design, Fabrication, Testing, Supply and Commissioning of Gas Modular Packaged Units. These units are installed at Gas Wellheads in order to regulate the high pressure gas stream. It mainly includes Choke Valves, HIPPS, WSD Panels, ESD/RTU Panels, Fire/ Gas Detectors and Chemical Injection Units. Complete integrated unit is designed and tested according to API 6A code. Wellhead Shutdown (WSD) Hydraulic Control Panel

WSD control panel will be used to keep open the three hydraulic actuator operated surface safety valves, and one casing kill line valve & one sub surface valve all in accordance with this specifications and design drawings. These valves are normally kept closed by the wellhead fluid pressure when the wellhead is in shutdown condition:

High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS)

A high-integrity pressure protection system (HIPPS) is a type of safety instrumented system (SIS) designed to prevent over-pressurization of a plant, such as a chemical plant or oil refinery. The HIPPS will shut off the source of the high pressure before the design pressure of the system is exceeded, thus preventing loss of containment through rupture (explosion) of a line or vessel. Therefore, a HIPPS is considered as a barrier between a high-pressure and a low-pressure section of an installation.

Choke Valves:

Choke valve is a type of control valves, mostly used in oil and gas production wells to control the flow of well fluids being produced. Another purpose that the choke valves serve is to kill the pressure from reservoir and to regulate the downstream pressure in the flowlines. Choke valves allow fluid flow through a very small opening, designed to kill the reservoir pressure while regulating the well production. The reservoir fluids can contain sand particles. Hence the choke valves are usually designed to handle an erosive service.

ESD Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) / Remote Terminal Unit (RTU):

This Unit is located in the control shelter of Modular Skid. The purpose of this unit is to provide a control logic for the operation and Emergency shutdown of well. It also communicates with the SCADA at the Gas Plant for Remote control andMonitoring. Control Switches and Status / Alarm Indication Lights are provided on the ESD/RTU Display Panel with keypad in front of the panel for operator to control and view all status / alarms which communicates to SCADA
