Chemical Injection System – Case Study-01

CASE STUDY – 01

Project Briefing:

Twenty Two (22) Nos. Corrosion Inhibitor Chemical Injection Units for Oil Well Sites Facilities for Manifa Onshore/Offshore & Causeway Projects Division of Saudi Arabia.

 Purpose of this System:

Corrosion Inhibitor Chemical Injection Units shall be used to inject controlled rates of corrosion inhibitor into sour crude oil transfer lines, it helps to control/reduce corrosion rate.

 Client Requirements:

All Chemical Injection Units shall be suitable for highly corrosive offshore conditions, with all injection pumps have an automatic stroke control adjustment by Variable Speed Drive (VFD) Motors.

( It is most decisive to use VFD for small capacity of dosing pump with full compliance with API 675)

The all Injection Units shall be skid mounted & shall include structural steel skid which includes several nos. of dosing pumps, pump drive motors, piping, chemical storage tank, along with necessary Instrumentation, Control panels (VFD & PLC based panels )  & associated electrical cables.

All internal components must be fully compliant with the special project requirement, Saudi aramco’s SAMSS, SAES, SAEP, Inspection & Testing requirements & NMR Requirements. These components shall be procured from RVL (Regulated Vendor List).

AES Scope of supply/work:

Scope of work includes Detailed Design & Engineering, Procurement, Assembling, Fabrication, Inspection & Testing ,  Project Management  & Deliver DDP to Juaimah Stores.
